Metal and X-ray-detectable products are essential in ready meals because the process combines lots of ingredients, lots of handling, and lots of kit - portioning, mixing, filling, sealing, and high-speed packing - so the opportunities for foreign-body contamination (from pens, PPE, scrapers, blades, seals, O-rings, etc.) are everywhere. Detectable versions mean that if something breaks or goes missing, your metal detector or X-ray system has a much better chance of catching it before it leaves site, reducing consumer risk, waste, and recalls.

They also strengthen HACCP and audit evidence in a category where visual checks are unreliable (sauces, mixed components, opaque trays/films). Detectable items add a practical, “designed-in” safeguard that improves traceability and speeds up investigations.
